Positions: Software Engr II
Location: Hyderabad, India

Honeywell Thermal Solutions is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to support our work developing burner management and control systems. You will work under limited supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation product by designing, testing and validating products/processes from prototype to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs. You will interact with internal and external customers to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications.
Work with global team to develop SW tool for burner management systems. You will create project and technical reports as required and help define product architecture as needed. You will participate in review process and test and evaluate SW products from initial engineering to production. You will help maintain servers and develop tools for internal use and including scripts. Aid in the design and development of equipment and systems, and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of Honeywell's customers. You will act as the lead technical liaison to the sales team.
Development of software, including design, implementation, bug-fixing, documentation and validation.
Follow well defined software development process for coding & design documentation
Develop and test well-structured source code
Performs design reviews
Troubleshooting and fix all related issues on new development product
Writes technical reports on results and conclusions drawn from experiments conducted and incorporates findings in formal specifications.
Translates regulatory agency requirements into product designs by coordinating the activities of engineering, quality, manufacturing, and related organizations
Participates in establishing operating procedures on new products and components.
Interacts with customers, design agency and/or supplier counterparts to resolve moderate to complex design, development, production and acceptance issues.
Evaluates and implements innovations and technological advances that improve quality, reduce flowtime, improve productivity, and enhance operational surety.
Interprets customer functional expectations and defines product requirements for future development activities
Identifies product requirement or performance issues, works with program manager and design team to negotiate resolution
Provides technical support and guidance for the resolution of various customer and interdepartmental needs on an as required basis
Contribute to budget and resource planning
May perform other duties as required.

Required Skills:
Expertise of any one of the following
Microsoft Visual Basic/ Visual C++ / .NET to develop tools for configuring products
Web services and Java
Experience of doing analytics at the edge will be preferred
Excellent teamwork in a dynamic project environment
Excellent English (fluent in spoken and written)
Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills.
Proficient with MS Office Professional programs Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

HTSIND2022Required Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
2. 4-7 years of experience
3. Experience in leading small design teams

Deep understanding of software engineering standards and specifications
Basic electronics engineering skills to assist in embedded firmware development and debugging
Capability to complete demanding assignments by applying advanced engineering methods and tools
Ability to influence cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions
Maintaining safe working environments
Experience in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
