Job Description

-Provides technical leadership and consultancy to IBU Solution Services in close partnership with IBU Architect to ensure solutions and platforms are aligned with the Enterprise IT architecture. The solutions are mainly focused on Webinar and Video OnDemand.
-Creates and reviews system designs to leverage existing standards, to evaluate alternative technologies and to build a cost-effective solution.
-Acts as a mentor and guide to individual team members in terms of technology training and adoption.
-Directs external providers who develop and implement solutions following the agreed system design.
-Collaborates with External Service Providers and IBU Service Management to prioritize and resolve incidents for IT systems and perform problem management to ensure resolution of root causes.
-Reviews development quotations provided by External Service Providers and challenges if needed
-Reviews source code provided by External Service Providers.
-Ensures coding standards or technical implementation guides are in place for the assigned IBU platforms or technologies and educates -External Service Providers to ensure they are followed.
-Helps to establish a DevOps to improve the quality, security, and stability of our cloud solutions.
-Identifies synergies and reuse opportunities to improve efficiency and cost savings.
-Identifies and drives proof of concepts for emerging technologies at Lilly and helps the IBU Solution Services team prepare for the adoption of these technologies.
-Be externally connected with technology forums and learn new technologies in a Long-Life Learner spirit.
